Pub 1 - The Country House

Pub 3 - The Power Monkey

Branch members periodically walk aroud the pubs in our main towns. Exmouth having about twenty pubs is usually visited every twelve months to keep up with the changes that occur. On a sunny day in June about twelve of us visited nearly half of those and recorded what beers we found. Starting at The Countryhouse Inn and Holly Tree in Withycombe we progressed into the centre visiting several in the town and then progressing to the seafront and ending up at The Grapevine. On a walkabout such as this you never know what beers you might find and we certainly weren't disapointed on this occasion though there were numerous national brands such as Greene King, Youngs, Fullers, Sharps etc plus beers from Devon breweries such as Teignworthy, Branscombe, Otter. Dartmoor much to our surprise we found several from Scottish breweries Harvieston, Inveralmond and Alechemy. Beers from other breweries outside of Devon such as D.B.C., Purity, Butcombe and Celt Experience were also enjoyed by the members.

This is what is always very good about a walkabout around the pubs in our branch area beside it being a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon you never know what you might find in any particular pub and that was certainly the case on this Saturday in June.
