Pub Of The Season (POTS)

Pub of the season is a new idea that allows members to choose their favourite pubs that serve excellent real ale but also qualify in the criteria below. The top three establishments with the most number of votes will then be voted for by members at a branch meeting.

The establishment with the most number of votes will be the winner for that Season.

Once all four establishments have won, they will be entered into an email vote, the most votes will determine who is the Pub of the Year for the branch.

To vote for your favourite pub based on the criteria below, please email socialsec@exetercamra.org.uk

Summer

  • A pub for all the family especially outside, which could include children's facilities

  • The garden is well maintained

  • A garden where you can also sit on the grass if tables and chairs are full

  • The garden is well away from the main road

  • Outside furniture in good condition

  • Outside tables have umbrellas

  • Inside of the pub is not hot and there is adequate ventilation

  • Beer is not warm and scores highly

  • Preferably with good views from the garden

Autumn

  • A garden that is sheltered from the wind

  • The trees preferably have red leaves

  • Outside furniture in good condition

  • Outside tables have umbrellas

  • Pathways and car park are kept clear of wet trodden leaves that could be slippery

  • A pub where you can sit inside if the weather is poor
